Slovenia is almost more magical in the winter than in the summer. The temperatures can range from a high of about 10 degrees Celsius to well below freezing. It may or may not snow at any time from late November to March. Be sure to pack a warm jacket, hat and gloves, and clothes you can layer and mix and match. A pair of warm, sturdy shoes is also a must.

Bled’s stunning lake looks even more picturesque when it’s covered with a white blanket of snow.
