Lake Bled is one of those places that feels like it was plucked straight from the pages of a fairytale. It is one of the top places to visit in Slovenia for a reason: It’s breathtaking. The green-blue lake is surrounded by snow-capped peaks of the Slovenian Alps. Overlooked by the medieval cliff-clinging Bled Castle, the lake has one lone island, which is occupied by a charming church and its rising steeple.
