Fall is such a wonderful time of year to visit Slovenia. The air is cool and crisp, the leaves are a beautiful yellow, orange and reddish-brown color and life slows down a little. Peak travel season is over which means cheaper prices and way less people around at the natural, cultural and historic attractions in the region. And since fall is the traditional harvest season it’s also a fab time for foodies!
Fall is such a beautiful time of year in Slovenia and the Bled area and it deserves a lot more attention than it gets. Slovenia gets a lot of tourism in the summer, so beat the crowds and head here when the weather turns chilly. Visit the nearby natural wonders, hike to your heart’s content and enjoy the bright fall leaves.
The first snow of the winter season is always special. Sometime during the night it started snowing all across northwestern Slovenia and by morning there is about 10-20 cm of new snow on the ground and everything is covered in white and so beautiful.
Here are some new photos of the exterior of our Fine Stay Apartments that our photographer, Vida Dimovska, took last week on October 14th. As you can see, the autumn is in full swing here in Slovenia. The trees have even been a bit delayed in their annual display of colour, but we are finally starting to see some pretty colours and some crisp, cool air take hold.
The world from above is an amazing place. With the technological advancements in cameras and drones, we can now get a glimpse of the world from up above.
For over a century we have been taking and seeing photographs from an eye level perspective. Taking that camera just 10 or 20 meters higher up, changes the way we see a familiar place. Here are some wonderful drone photos of our apartments.
Fall is here and the leaves are beginning to change colors. The days are sunny, bright and beautiful and the air is crisp and cool. There is no better time to be outdoors!
Here are some photos of our apartments on the first autumn day (September 23rd).
Towards the end of winter, most people begin to anxiously await spring’s arrival. We are tired of the cold weather and ready to feel some sunshine on our faces and see the earth’s rebirthing process starting again. So, we couldn’t be more happy to report that spring has arrived and the first beautiful, warm days of spring have already hit us.
We just love the way the nature around our apartments looks in spring! We took the camera and made a few photos from different angles.
Sometime during the night it started snowing in the Bled area and all over the Alpine region of Slovenia and by morning there is about 5-10 cm of new snow on the ground and everything is covered in white and so beautiful.

The first snow of the winter started falling last night, covering the Bled area and the entire Gorenjska region of Slovenia in white. Accumulations of up to 5 to 10 cm brings winter wonderland, but also icy roads so be careful when driving!
Autumn has arrived. It is so beautiful and colorful season. The colors of the leaves as they fall down it’s so beautiful. The crisp air flowing through the dark trees and the orange hues at sunset. It’s truly the most stunning sight. Nothing is more beautiful than walking down a road with trees full of leaves on either side, all of different colours. There’s nothing more beautiful than watching the leaves in your garden change steadily from green, to yellow, to orange, to deep red. And when they fall off the trees, it is magic.
Autumn has arrived at Fine Stay Apartments turning all the deciduous trees red, orange and yellow.
Fall is full of so many wonderful things, the explosion of autumn colors, the falling leaves, the sound of trees rustling in the wind.
Autumn is in full swing in Slovenia and our accommodation Apartments Fine Stay is no exception. The leaves are changing from their bright green colors and are taking on incredible hues of yellow, orange, and red.
