Cross-country Skiing

Cross-country skiing is one of those types of recreational activity that offer genuine contact with the natural environment. The sport is experiencing a rebirth throughout Europe, and makes up an important part of tourist activities in the Gorenjska region. Flat or slightly inclined courses are simply ideal.

Pokljuka Cross-country skiing trails
The best cross-country skiing terrain in Slovenia is the Pokljuka plateau, which is about a 40-minute drive from our apartment. Trails run through pine tree woods and across extensive highland pastures.

Over 30 kilometres of regularly maintained cross-country trails connect various parts of the Pokljuka plateau.
