Fishing

Fishing is a pleasant way of relaxation surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Sava Dolinka river (from the barrier in Moste to the confluence with the Sava Bohinjka river in Radovljica)
It is one of the most picturesque areas to fish. The area is less than 5 km away from our apartments. The district begins in the pools under the hydro power plant Moste and concludes just before the confluence of the Sava Dolinka and the Sava Bohinjka in Radovljica. The route of this water basin runs through the unspoiled nature in the valley Piskovce, through rapids in Berje and Lisice and through the famous camp Sobec in Lesce. You can trace some first class specimen of brown, rainbow and brook trouts, graylings and huchens but even some chubs are not strangers to these waters.

Fishermen can test their skills as well as their luck on the Zavrsnica reservoir, which is less than 1 km away from our apartment. The lake is home to brown trouts, rainbow trouts and graylings but the fishing for grayling is forbidden.

  1. The man who killed the magnificent catfish from lake Bled should be banned from fishing in Slovenia for the rest of his life .To kill a
a specimen like this is as bad as the American dentist killing wild game .The angler should be set up in a glass cabinet in the side of the lake with a record of this disgraceful deed…genuine anglers world wide are sickened by such behaviour..Why on earth kill the biggest cat fish in the lake.. divers travel miles to witness this creature in its stunning home Lake Bled…The ugliness and crass stupidity beggars belief…I was so stunned to see the photographs of the cretinous idiot with the dead fish strung by rope to a tree… how dear sir …could you possibly think people would be impressed..not one fisherman I have spoken to has a good word for your behaviour ..you have identified yourself as a person who should never be allowed to fish Lake Bled again….Lake Bled Angling club must ‘re write their rule book so that the taking of fish is either prohibited completely or at least that after a fish reaches a certain weight in relation to maximum weight for the water they 9must be returned ….un harmed..I have been coming to Bled each year for fifteen years …and I can tell you sir if I encounter yourself fishing ….you had better be a good swimmer ….you are an unmitigated piece of low life……is that perfectly clear…
